Ladies-only kickboxing and self-defence classes in Ruimsig
The classes will be coached by a female trainer and the dojo is still in the process of appointing the fitting individual.
In the quest to start more female-orientated classes, Triple Threat Dojo will be introducing women-only kickboxing and self-defence classes from January 2021.
According to gym owner and trainer, Wade Rendall, the classes will focus on women’s self-defence and also just build an environment that is more female-based.
“With some of our classes not being gender-specific, sometimes the women don’t really feel comfortable and also feel like they don’t belong. To ensure that this was not an issue at the gym we decided to work on a programme that is specific for women – not just for the kickboxing but also self-defence,” said Wade.

The dojo recently started with a free Saturday kickboxing class for women, and now in their attempt to broaden their class schedule they are introducing the women-only kickboxing and self-defence classes.
The classes will be coached by a female trainer and the dojo is still in the process of appointing the fitting individual.
“The successful individual or individuals will go through an eight-week intense kickboxing and self-defence internship to equip them with the necessary skills to train the beginners. We are going to be running the classes weekly. From the first month there will be four to six classes as we are still working out the programme,” said Wade.

The Triple Threat Dojo was founded and designed by coach Wade Rendall who refers to his craft as the new evolution of kickboxing and sports conditioning.
