Crawford learner swims her heart out at Regional Champs

Kate took part in six events and swam five personal best times on the day. To top this off, she achieved a Level three time in the 200m breaststroke.

Crawford International Ruimsig learner, Kate Whittaker continues to perform second to none in her chosen sport of swimming as she once again impressed at the Regional Championships.

The Grade 9 learner participated in the Swimming South Africa (SSA) Level 2 Regional Championships from 12 to 15 March in Durban.

Kate took part in six events and swam five personal best times on the day. To top this off, she achieved a Level three time in the 200m breaststroke.

The young swimming sensation displayed an excellent effort that saw her placed first in the 200m freestyle, second in the 200m breaststroke and the 200m individual medley, and third in the 100m freestyle.

“We tip our hat to Kate Whittaker – an excellent effort by this young lady. Her commitment and perseverance in a very tough swimming year are commendable. Fantastic achievements Kate. Well done,” said Head of Marketing and Admissions, Tshepiso Makhalemele.
