Equestrians jump at the chance for a training day
The show was supposed to show young or inexperienced jumpers what a showjumping competition would be like, minus the stringent restrictions.
The Honeydew Equestrian Centre hosted a fun Showjumping Training Day for riders from all around on Sunday, May 28.
This show was intended to show young or novice jumpers what a showjumping competition would be like – without the strict rules of course.
Concentration, grace and excitement filled the arena.

Those who attended the day were able to have their trainers in the arena with them to help guide them through the different jumps. They were also divided into different categories from beginner height jumps to intermediate heights and so forth. The centre was filled with music, laughter, and chatter as riders compared their performances and gave out hints and advice.

The riders were also allowed to take part in a ‘Chase Me Charlie’ class, where a jump gets raised after each rider has jumped, the rider to jump the highest with the least number of faults, wins. Cecilia and Amaretto cruised to a nifty 1.15m win!

Yet another fun-filled and educational training day at the Honeydew Equestrian Centre.
