Len Rutter Park was full of sweating bodies once again on June 29 as hundreds of runners, joggers and walkers laced up their sneakers to take on the 5km course.
Parkrun, a popular community event held every Saturday at 8:00 in the park, welcomes all types of runners, from experienced to first-timers.
Even though it is not a competition, participants push themselves every week to reach milestones and with the help of volunteers, their family and friends, they push through.

Riaad Snyman recently completed his 250th milestone and made a mark in his fitness journey and the vibrant parkrun community.
While Hennie Grundling, who started parkrunning 11 years ago (with a few breaks in between), managed to come back and achieve his 50th milestone. He has also visited 30 different parkruns.
As parkrun came to a close, there was a sense of accomplishment and companionship in the air. The runners exchanged high fives and shared stories of their race experiences and hoped to see each other next weekend.
