Future Nation School karatekas conquer their giants
Karate members are making their mark in the karate world.
Goju Ryu Karate Centre Randburg, in partnership with Future Nation School Fleurhof campus, hosted a Karate Championship competition on their premises in June.
According to Goju Ryu Karate Centre spokesperson Nigel Jirira, the importance of this tournament in schools is that it gives our students a unique opportunity to compete against students of the same level and age.
“It’s a highly concentrated, competitive environment for learning. This also gives them a chance to represent their school with pride,” Nijel said.
Both parties introduced this platform to primarily help young individuals participate in karate. Many learners face bullying challenges in school and this platform is believed to help boost their confidence, defence skills and self-esteem.
“I’m very happy with all the achievements made so far; it shows the kind of dedication and commitment our students have. We are so proud of them, and we promise to support them at all costs,” said Nigel.
Future Nation School students managed to make their mark in the competition and claimed these results:

The Future Nation School karate students started tournaments this year, yet they have managed to take gold for Team Kata in the Peewee division. Both parties are expected to participate in the interschool tournament in October and the World Goju Championships that will take place in Austria.
