Golfers unite for charity
Golfers and sponsors hosted a charity golf day in honour of Mandela Day to raise funds.
Kindness goes a long way, and what better way to show it than with a charity golf day hosted to raise funds in celebration of Mandela Day at the Ruimsig Country Club?

On July 18, businesses, sponsors, and locals gathered at the Ruimsig Country Club in honour of Nelson Mandela to dedicate their time to raising funds for those in need. According to organiser Suzan Caby, the golf day saw a full field of participants and sponsoring companies, all eager to contribute and enjoy a sunny but windy day.

Throughout the day, golfers enjoyed 18 holes, networking with other individuals and companies, followed by an early supper featuring a special performance from Pieter Smith, and the hosts expressing their gratitude for the support from local members.

“The event was a resounding success! We are so thrilled with the turnout and support we received. It’s heartwarming to see the golfing community come together to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.”

“The funds will be donated to the Luipaardsvlei Tehuis vir Bejaardes and Cross Connect Community Outreach, and we hope that this generous donation will assist them with the great work that they do for the community,” Suzan says.
