A talented football player and coach has climbed the ranks with dedication and perseverance while inspiring young athletes.

Thato Molomo’s football journey best represents how hard work and dedication can allow you to achieve your dreams.

From captaining the Panorama Football Club’s U19 team in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) to being named a finalist at the prestigious Gauteng Sports Awards, Thato’s growth has been truly inspiring.

Thato started playing football at a very young age, and his love for the sport centred his focus on developing into the talented player he is today. His passion for football drove him to balance his studies in football coaching and administration at Boston City Campus while playing for top teams like Highlands Park Football Club.

He has worked alongside renowned players and coaches, learning valuable lessons and rising through the ranks.

He tells the Northsider his story which is one of sacrifice, determination and resilience.

“Playing such a competitive sport where anyone can be your competition teaches you to take disappointments as stepping stones to improving as a player. I had to grow up quickly, assuming leadership roles and motivating my teammates to achieve common goals,” Thato said.

With a focus on discipline and faith, Thato is determined to give his best on the field and achieve success as a coach, aiming to surpass the great managers before him.
