Young riders shine at Gauteng West equestrian awards
Learners from Trinityhouse Preparatory School gallop to success bringing home top honours at the Sanesa awards.
Trinityhouse Preparatory School’s equestrian teams have once again demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning top awards at the Gauteng West Awards ceremony hosted by the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa).

This esteemed event recognises the achievements of young riders across the West Rand. Four learners, Jonathan van Dyk, Emma Nortjie, Mikayla Wells and Hannah Nortjie – the youngest achiever from the pre-primary school – have made their school proud.

Gauteng West district colours were awarded to both Jonathan and Mikayla for their impressive performance, followed by Emma winning two gold medals for level 0 work and performance riding, a bronze for level 0 equitation and silver overall for level 0 riding and jumping.

Jonathan and Mikayla have qualified for the Gauteng team and will represent the province at the Sanesa Nationals.

“We are thrilled to see our young riders excel in the equestrian area. Their achievements serve as a representation of how far hard work will get you. We look forward to their continued success,” said the arts co-ordinator for the school, Heather Brits.
