Swimmer dives into the national spotlight

Local swimmer earns a spot in the Zimbabwean National Team set to compete in the Africa Aquatics Zone IV event.

Talented swimmer Eliecia Chivandire, a learner from Charter College International High School, has achieved another milestone by being selected for the Zimbabwe National Swimming Team.

The team will compete in the Africa Aquatics Zone IV event in December in Namibia alongside 12 other countries.

Her impressive performance at the Central Gauteng Aquatics Junior Short Course Championships cemented her spot on the national team. Previously she won four gold medals in her backstroke events, a silver medal in the 100m, and a bronze medal in her 50m butterfly stroke.

Additionally, these achievements registered multiple personal bests and a qualification in the South African National Junior Championships.

As she gears for this incredible journey, her community, family, and friends rally behind her, wish her the best of luck, and look forward to her continued success.
