Her achievements are a sign that hard work pays off.
Cailey Cruickshank, a Grade Eight learner at Crawford International Ruimsig, has recently made waves in the performing arts world with a stunning series of accomplishments.
Competing in various solo, duo and group performances, Cailey’s stellar results are evidence of her talent and dedication.
In her solo performances, Cailey earned a well-deserved silver medal. She went on to capture gold in two duo performances, as well as three gold and one silver in production line group performances.
Her success continued with another gold in small group performances and a silver in large group categories. The range of awards she has received highlights her versatility and extraordinary skill across different performance types.
But the accolades don’t stop there. Cailey has been selected to represent South Africa at the prestigious World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles next year. Often referred to as the ‘Olympics of Performing Arts’, WCOPA brings together top talents from more than 60 countries around the globe. Competitors will showcase their abilities in a variety of categories, including singing, dancing, acting, and more.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Cailey to showcase her incredible talents on the world stage,” said Lindsay van Boven who is the school’s media director.
“We know she will represent both Crawford International and South Africa with pride and excellence,” she added.
“We wish Cailey all the best as she prepares to make South Africa proud in the WCOPA 2025,” Lindsay concluded.
