Local runner Carmen Walker-Campbell completed a massive milestone on November 16, when she completed her 500th parkrun at Len Rutter Park.
Achieving 45th place overall in the race, Carmen managed a perfectly respectable time of 28:54, with husband Bob and their children Kate and Rowan cheering her on from the sidelines.
Out of her 500 parkruns, she had done 195 at Roodepoort and plans on doing many more.
“It wasn’t my best performance by far,” she says but adds that it was still a pleasant run.
