Roodepoort Rugby Club to hold trials
The trials will occur on Saturday, February 15 at Hoërskool Bastion.
Roodepoort Rugby Club is hunting for fresh talent, and aspiring rugby players are invited to showcase their skills at the club’s upcoming trials.
According to Victor Volschenk, the club’s director, the trials will cater to three age categories: U19s, U21s, and seniors (open teams). The U19s and U21s will take to the field from 13:30 to 15:00, while the seniors will follow from 15:00 to 16:30.
Prospective players are advised to arrive prepared, bringing with them rugby socks, boots and shorts.
“We’ll have independent selectors who will be looking for predefined, position-specific skills,” Volschenk said.
“Successful players can expect to be announced as part of the team on Tuesday, February 18. The club’s first friendly match will follow shortly after, on February 22.
