The learners were proudly wearing their school colours and took to the track and field with enthusiasm and determination. According to Cathy Badenhorst, the D12 official for sports, this was the qualifying event for the Gauteng Championships that are set to take place on March 14 and 15 in Germiston.

“The learners broke many records and bagged medals. We are very proud that every school sent their very best to represent their respective schools. The successful learners will now go on to represent their schools at the Gauteng Championships, where they’ll face off against the best young athletes from across the province.
