Constantia dominate in thrilling season opener

Constantia Kloof Primary kicks off their first league match against Pinnacle College Ridge View Primary.

Constantia Kloof — The first netball match of the season kicked off with Constantia Kloof Primary going head-to-head against Pinnacle College Ridge View Primary to solidify their positions in the current league.

The day started with a lovely welcome message from netball convenor Adri van Wyk, who then allowed the U13 girls to direct Pinnacle to where the bathrooms and tuck shops are, followed by a prayer.

Before the games began, Constantia welcomed everyone to join them in a follow-the-leader dance to heighten their spirit and start their matches on a positive note.

As Adri blew the whistle for the first half, the B team players geared up for 10 minutes of competitive netball, attempting to win that first half with the most points, followed by the A team later on.

Loud chants from parents, coaches, and supporting teams were the highlight of the match as the pressure was getting to them. Fortunately, all teams from both the A and B teams won all their matches, making Constantia a force to be reckoned with for the upcoming season.

“We are so pleased that all our teams won their matches. This was a great start to the season, and we hope that we can continue the winning streak for our upcoming games,” said Adri.

Constantia’s next showdown will be against Laerskool Die Ruiter on Thursday, April 24.
