Double gold and a silver for unstoppable Welties teams
The team's success marks an exciting chapter in the school's sporting achievements, and to the talent and hard work being nurtured at Welties.
Weltevreden Park — Weltevreden Park Primary School’s (Welties) soccer teams returned home from the Camp Discovery Soccer Tournament with heads held high and medals around their necks, after an action-packed weekend of football last month.
All three teams – U11, U12, and U13 qualified for the finals after delivering standout performances during the tournament.
The U11 and U13 squads dominated their matches and remained unbeaten throughout, ultimately clinching gold in their respective divisions.

The U12 team also showed immense talent and determination, making it to the final in a competitive run.
Though they narrowly missed out on the top spot, they walked away with silver, showcasing the grit and spirit that defines Welties sport.
Proudly representing their school, the boys played with heart, discipline, and teamwork, bringing pride not only to their coaches and families but to the entire Welties community.

“We are incredibly proud of all three teams,” said the school’s deputy principal, Leanne Danker.
“Their commitment and sportsmanship were outstanding, and we applaud the coaching staff for their dedication in preparing the boys for this tournament.”
