Carwford hockey girls fight hard in tough match
From fearless tackles to powerful plays, the team showed that they're growing stronger with every match.
Earlier in April, the Crawford International Ruimsig girls’ hockey team delivered a commendable performance in a tough encounter against Hoërskool Riebeeckrand.
Although the scoreboard reflected a 2–0 loss, the game was a true testament to the team’s resilience, unity, and unyielding determination.
From the first whistle, both teams played with intensity and drive, turning the match into an engaging and fast-paced contest. Crawford’s players demonstrated sharp defensive coordination and fearless attacking play, making their opponents work hard for every opportunity. Despite the pressure, the girls maintained their composure, showing maturity beyond their years.
The narrow defeat did little to dampen the spirit of the team. Instead, it highlighted their strength of character and unwavering dedication to improvement. Coaches and supporters alike were proud of the way the team carried themselves – with grit, grace, and sportsmanship.
