Gold medal glory for acro duo

Nicole du Toit and Jamie van Tonder from 24Seven Gymnastics and Trampoline performed exceptionally well at the acro interclub competition.

Nicole du Toit (12) and Jamie van Tonder (9), a talented acro duo from 24Seven Trampoline and Gymnastics, have brought home gold medals in the Level 8 women’s pairs duo category at a prestigious acrobats interclub competition.

The event, held at the National Training Centre for Gymnastics South Africa (previously known as Matsport) in Pretoria on June 21, saw the dynamic duo showcase their exceptional abilities, impressing judges and spectators alike.

According to Luitha Roux, head coach at 24Seven, the duo participated in the U14 age group, and their routine surpassed everyone’s, including groups from Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

“I’m extremely proud of their hard work and determination. Their routine stood out, and they have qualified for the district acrobatics competition set to take place soon,” she said.

Luitha added that this competition was hosted by 24Seven and another club called Spring Stars, and they had a record number of routines.

“We had 168 routines with 11 from 24Seven. We are very honoured and privileged to have all the teams from Gauteng and Mpumalanga that came to participate,” she concluded.
