Young dancer brings home the gold
Bringing home these achievements proves that there is no limitation to what can be achieved through dedication and hard work.
A Grade Seven learner from Crawford International Ruimsig, Dhivya Reddi-Beets, has made her school and parents proud as she recently represented South Africa at the Dance World Cup in Spain during the school holidays.
She brought home two gold and three silver medals.
Dhivya was selected as part of the talented Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy team, joining dancers from around the country to compete on the global stage. After months of dedication, rehearsals, and hard work, their passion and perseverance paid off, as team South Africa danced their way to victory, bringing home the Dance World Cup title.
According to the school’s client experience officer, Lindsay van Boven, this achievement is not only for Dhivya, but a success for the school community as well.
“Her success is a shining example of what can be achieved through discipline, creativity, and courage,” expressed Lindsay. She further went on to add that Dhivya is an inspiration to them all and she must continue reaching for the stars.
