Parkrunner achieves 300th milestone

Johan Malan celebrated a remarkable milestone this past Saturday, July 26, when he completed his 300th parkrun.

This incredible achievement is a testament to his dedication and commitment to the parkrun community, which he has been a part of since 2014.

Speaking to the Roodepoort Record, Johan expressed his joy in running every weekend, particularly with his family.

He finds that it provides a welcome respite from the weekly schedule and allows him to unwind. He says he has dedicated himself to this wonderful adventure, which has not only kept him active but also introduced him to many new people.

“It feels good to achieve this milestone, and I’m very happy that I get to it in the presence of my family.

“We have toured different parkruns and it’s always a time out with family,” he said.
