Young equestrians gallop to victory at championships

The riders continue to practice and perfect their skills for upcoming competitions.

Crawford International Ruimsig is celebrating as two of their equestrian stars, Aisha Minty and Anneshia Kock, have made them proud at The Western Shoppe Collective 2025 SA youth champs. The championships were held in Kyalami and featured dressage, show jumping, equitation, and showing disciplines.

Aisha, who is in Grade Eight, participated in the youth championships for the very first time, and she showed great composure. She took part in the competitive 70cm Jumping Pony classes, where she clinched 10th place in both the PR 70cm 2 Phase Competition. According to Megan Birch, the school’s client experience officer, this is a remarkable achievement at the national level.

The Grade 12 learner, Anneshia, also delivered an outstanding performance, riding Get Lucky in the Junior Novice division. She claimed first place in Junior Novice Show Riding and 2nd place in Junior Novice Show Hack. Her results are a reflection of skill, preparation, and harmony with her horse.

“Congratulations to both riders on your fantastic accomplishments – you’ve made us proud,” Megan said.
