Roodepoort Athletics Club runners enjoy rain-soaked Pirates 10km

Sixteen runners braved the downpour at Pirates 10km.

Despite a steady downpour, 16 members of the Roodepoort Athletics Club ran the Pirates 10km race held on November 16, in Greenside.

Known as Joburg’s Fastest 10k, the race, which attracted more than 2 000 participants, wound its way through the leafy suburbs of Parkview, Westcliff and Greenside, offering runners a picturesque backdrop that was only enhanced by the fresh, rain-filled air.
