A total of 84 matric pupils accumulated 255 distinctions, at an average of three distinctions per candidate.
Two Roedean girls were ranked in the top five percent of Independent Examinations Board pupils in six or more subjects.
While another six were ranked in the top five percent in one or more subjects including Afrikaans, first additional language, English home language, life sciences, mathematical literacy, mathematics, mathematics III, and physical science.
Behnazir Mohamed and Shazia Patel obtained nine distinctions each. Those who obtained eight distinctions were Heather Donald, Loan Heilner, Didintle Tsitsi, and Suzannah Visser.

On your behalf, I extend thanks to your wonderful teachers for their unfailing devotion to your cause,” said executive headmistress Mary Williams.
