St. Mary’s pupils use slippers to school

In support of the Reach for Your Slippers campaign, pupils from St. Mary's School, Waverly marketing team wore slippers to school.

The pupils were also rewarded with free coffee after they bought their slipper day stickers from Wimpy.

The initiative is the brainchild of Reach For A Dream and runs on 1 August. It ‘requires’ South Africans to wear their slippers in support of children suffering from serious illnesses.

People are encouraged to buy stickers for R10. Wimpy outlets will, in turn, reward them with a free cup of coffee.

The pupils said they participated in this initiative to show support and solidarity with children faced with serious and terminal illnesses.

They urged members of the public to join them in supporting the foundation by wearing their slippers to work, school or even the shops.
