St Teresa’s observe Catholic Schools Week

St Teresa's united in faith for a special Mass at St Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Craighall Park.

St Teresa’s School participated in Catholic Schools Week recently, an annual celebration of Catholic schools worldwide.

For St Teresa’s School, the week recognises the value of Catholic education and the contribution that Catholic schools make to their communities.

Lianda May, admissions and marketing at the school said, “To conclude Catholic Schools Week, our school community came together in faith for a special Mass at St Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Craighall Park. This significant occasion highlighted the values of Catholic education and the enduring bonds it fosters among our learners, staff, families, and alumni.”

The school’s leadership learners played an integral role in the Mass, actively participating as readers, altar servers, and choir members. Their heartfelt readings, reverent service, and angelic voices filled the church with joy, embodying the spirit of Catholic education.

Their involvement was a testament to our Mercy values instilled in them throughout their educational journey.

The school was also honoured to welcome back Michaela Da Costa, a St Teresa’s Rosie alumna, who shared an inspiring and deeply personal reflection on how Catholic education had shaped her life.

Her words resonated with Rosies and the community, reinforcing the enduring impact of faith-based education in nurturing compassionate, principled, and service-driven individuals.

The Mass was a notable conclusion to a week of reflection, gratitude, and celebration of the role Catholic schools play in academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social responsibility.
