JRA blames inclement weather for slow repairs on Corlett Drive

A journalist visited the site on December 21 and was met with debris, as well as a new pothole, which ironically formed near the reinstatement completed by the JRA.

JRA’s head of regional operations Khaya Gqibitole said the team had not forgotten about the incomplete work. “Activities were temporarily halted due to inclement weather. They will continue operations to complete the outstanding sidewalk, kerbs, and gutter.”

This follows earlier reporting in October about an open excavation that had remained unattended for two months before being repaired by JRA.
