Rosebank Management District stakeholder meetings help to keep the precinct in check
The next Rosebank Management District stakeholder meeting will resume in January 2026.
The Rosebank Management District convened its last stakeholder meeting for the year on November 27 at Rosebank’s Southern Sun.
Members of the Rosebank police, Rosebank Homeless Association and the City of Joburg were in attendance.
The district exists to create a well-integrated mixed-use precinct that thrives and is a leading example for environmental sustainability, livability, connectivity, diversity and innovation.

The district manager, Mikhaela Donaldson, noted the following:

Donaldson added that the RMD undertook successful projects, which included:
- RMD funded the repairs for the stormwater drain that was overflowing at Bath and Bierman avenues.
- 100 bollards were delivered at the beginning of September. These were installed on the intersections that experience a lot of illegal parking and pavement damage, affecting pedestrian safety.
- Festive season donation for Cross the Divide included goods for 150 packs to be issued to the vulnerable across the area.
- About 80% of logged municipal issues have been resolved.
- RMD has worked with corporates in the precinct for charity drives and special projects.
The Rosebank Homeless Association chair, Tessa Weakley, said that the association’s work was voluntary and worked with the various organisations that supply services such as soup kitchens.
“Rosebank Management District is one of the big sponsors…businesses in the area, give us donations, and we funnel that money to Immaculata Shelter, one of our big shelters.”
