Bramley Police Station appoints new station commander
Johannesburg’s District Commissioner Major General Nonhlanhla Kubheka has announced Colonel Lionel Chetty’s appointment as the new station commander of Bramley Police Station, extending him a warm welcome to his new role.
The office of the district commissioner for Johannesburg has announced the appointment of Colonel Lionel Chetty as the new station commander of Bramley Police Station.
District management extended a warm welcome to him during the district crime combating forum meeting.

Chetty joined the South African Police Service in 1991, serving at Sebenza, Midrand, Ivory Park, Edenvale, and Reiger Park police stations.
He held key positions, such as operational commander, Vispol commander, and detective, and previously served as station commander at Reiger Park SAPS. “I am a dedicated and committed police officer with a strong passion for policing and a firm stance against corruption.”
Chetty pledged to implement an open-door policy, and to work closely with other law enforcement agencies, the Community Policing Forum (CPF), and the community, to enhance safety and make the Bramley policing precinct a crime-free zone.

Major General Nonhlanhla Kubheka, Johannesburg district commissioner, expressed full confidence in Chetty’s leadership, and wished him every success in his new role.
