JOBURG – Johnnie Walker global ambassador Tom Jones teams up with chef Benny Masekwameng and musicians for the prestigious Symphony in Blue event.

 

Johnnie Walker global ambassador Tom Jones will team up with revered South African chef Benny Masekwameng and A-list African music artists for the prestigious Symphony in Blue event.

The event is an intimate five-night spectacular where guests will be immersed in the Johnnie Walker Blue Label liquid as it’s perfectly paired with a specially designed three-course menu created by chef Masakwameng as well as fine live music. The experience is set to take place at Winnie’s Lounge in Sandton from 14 to 18 June.

Jones is known to many around the world for his unwavering passion for and knowledge of fine spirits.

With over 20 years of experience, he is a devoted ambassador for the exceptional craftsmanship of Johnnie Walker and has been introducing the House of Johnnie Walker and John Walker & Sons to global audiences.

Guests attending Symphony in Blue will be taken on a rare culinary experience as Masekwameng, who is also passionate about sharing his culinary knowledge, adds to the distinct experience by curating a three-course menu which will be exclusively prepared and paired for the rare blend.

The event will be a truly memorable experience as some of Africa’s greatest musical talent including Maleh, Kunle Ayo, Nduduzo Makhathini, Vusi Mahlasela and Lira headline each evening’s event.

Music line-up for the event includes:

  • 14 June – Maleh
  • 15 June – Vusi Mahlasela
  • 16 June – Nduduzo Makhathini
  • 17 June – Kunle Ayo
  • 18 June – Lira.
