Four injured in a multiple vehicle collision near Marlboro Drive

SANDTON – Emer-G-Med transported two patients to the nearest hospital for further care.

Emer-G-Med responded to a  multiple vehicle collision on the N3 North near Marlboro Drive on 9 November at around 7.30am.

Alett Reed, a team member from Emer-G-Med, confirmed that the collision involved four vehicles, two delivery vehicles and two private vehicles. “Together with other services we triaged, assessed and treated all the patients. Four patients were transported to hospital by us and other services for further care with minor to severe injuries,” she said.

“Sanral (South African National Road Agency) immediately set to work clearing the scene as one of the delivery vehicles lost its load of water containers,” continued Reed.

The cause of the incident is being investigated by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD).
