Striking a Chord hits all the right notes on opening night in Sandton

Music lovers gathered in droves for the opening night of Striking a Chord, a moving and masterful performance by Adrian and Emma-Jean Galliard with Johan Heystek.

Theatre on the Square was brimming with emotion, anticipation, and applause on August 27, as Striking a Chord opened to a full house, bringing together a diverse audience of music lovers, theatre-goers, and curious newcomers.

The show, a collaboration between father-daughter vocal duo Adrian and Emma-Jean Galliard and renowned musical director Johan Heystek, set out to explore a profound question: Does music have the power to change a life?

If opening night was anything to go by, the answer is a resounding yes.

Whether through stories of personal loss or unexpected triumph, the trio guided the audience through a journey that was as emotionally resonant as it was musically dazzling.
