Dreamers helping dreamers
This year has taught us the meaning of inner strength and what it means to have real support in the moments that matter the most.
The collaboration between the community and the Reach For A Dream continues to make dreams a reality.
A journey that began more than 32 years ago has enriched the lives of hundreds of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses.
“These children are under extreme pressure to deal with their medical issues and are in desperate need of our encouragement,” said marketing manager Roxanne Manuel.
The Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown in particular resulted in the suspension of all dream activities, severely impacting the children and the foundation as a whole.
The community, however, rallied together when the foundation was able to once again fulfil dreams.
“This year has taught us the meaning of inner strength and what it means to have real support in the moments that matter the most.
“As a foundation, we are tremendously grateful to every one for the support, kindness and generosity toward Reach For A Dream and our dream children,” added Manuel.
The foundation’s wish-list for the new year includes:
- Refer a child fighting a life-threatening illness
- Assist financially support to projects and the fulfilment of dreams
- Offer (new) in-kind products or experiences for dreams
- Become a volunteer and help make dreams come true
- Choose Reach For A Dream as your My School beneficiary of choice
- Offer an in-kind service to the business.
