Crawford martial arts fighter places internationally

BENMORE – This follows the young fighter’s phenomenal performance at the AJP Tour Africa tournament.

Crawford International Sandton’s very own jiu-jitsu prodigy Tyler Lazarus recently excelled on the international stage.

The learner took home a silver medal, finishing in second place at the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu Tournament.

According to his father Richard, Tyler endured a number of gruelling fights in order to reach the final round.

“He [Tyler] beat a Chechen fighter in the semi-finals and came in second in the finals, in which he fought an older and more experienced Brazilian fighter.”

This follows the young fighter’s phenomenal performance at the AJP Tour Africa tournament.

He was awarded the gold medal, continuing his undefeated record in preparation for the fight in Abu Dhabi.
