Water interruption set for parts of Sandton

SANDTON – Residents are also reminded that level one water restrictions remain in place until March 31.

Johannesburg Water would like to inform residents of a water interruption set to affect parts of Sandton and Fourways on January 26.

According to the City entity, the shutdown will allow for teams to attend to a major pipe burst.

The following suburbs will be affected from 06:00 to 19:00:

  • Sunninghill
  • Rivonia
  • Edenburg
  • Woodmead
  • Gallo Manor
  • Megawatt Park
  • Morningside Manor

Residents are also reminded that level one water restrictions remain in place until March 31.

“Watering of gardens is not allowed between 06:00 and 18:00 in the summer months (September 1 to March 31) and, furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes,” said Johannesburg Water in a statement.
