Sandton Police Station commemorates16 Days of Activism

The 16 Days of Activism is to raise awareness of the negative impact that violence and abuse have on women and children and to rid society of abuse permanently.

Violence against women and girls remains the most pervasive human rights violation around the world.

The Sandton Police Station, Sandton CPF, Adapt, and Teddy Bear Foundation, among others, put hands together and hosted a fun community day at the Mushroom Park aimed at commemorating the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence.

As an annual international campaign, the fun day educated and taught the attendees how important these days are.

With less turnout of people for this year’s event, the Sandton Police Station encourages locals to attend the next coming events as it is important.
