Crawford International Sandton College learners tutor Grade 8s of Fidelitas School

The passion for education and community service has made a tangible impact on the lives of the Crawford Sandton young learners.

The Crawford International Sandton College learners recently gathered at Fidelitas School for the final session of the Grade 8 mathematics outreach programme.

Nadia Cooke, the project coordinator at the school, said this initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the learners, teachers, and supporting organisations, and that it had been a resounding success.

“Throughout the year, our dedicated learners volunteered their time to tutor Grade 8 learners from Fidelitas Comprehensive School. The tutors provided valuable guidance and support in mathematics.”

She added they extend their sincerest gratitude to the Dischem Foundation for generously providing stationery and prizes for Fidelitas learners.

“The foundation’s commitment to education and community development is truly commendable. We also appreciate the Interact Club’s efforts to prepare delicious meals for the students and volunteers.”

Cooke said the day culminated in a prize-giving ceremony where outstanding learners were recognised for their hard work and progress.

“The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride as the students received their well-deserved awards.”

She said they looked forward to witnessing the long-term benefits of this initiative.

“We are confident that the seeds sown will yield a brighter academic future for these young minds.”

She emphasised that they encourage all learners, parents, and staff to participate in future outreach programmes to foster a culture of community service and social responsibility.

“Together, we can empower the next generation of leaders and changemakers. To our teachers, learners, and the ERF Foundation, we thank you for your tireless dedication and contributions to this outreach programme.”
