With a mission to not only meet basic needs but also foster meaningful human connections, the organisation has touched countless lives by bringing food, essentials, and much-needed companionship to children’s homes and elder care centres.
According to Upama Srivastava, founder of Connect to Feed, they believe that happiness comes from more than just fulfilling immediate needs.
“It is about showing up with compassion, being present with people, and sharing moments of joy with them. That personal connection is what truly sets our work apart.”
She added that over the past five years, the organisation has distributed thousands of meals across the region, developed strong partnerships with local food suppliers and non-profits, and expanded its reach to new areas.
“These efforts have had a tangible, positive effect on the communities we serve, reducing food insecurity and improving the health and well-being of many individuals and families.”
But like any organisation working on the front lines, Connect to Feed has faced its share of challenges.
From logistical hurdles in food distribution to occasional shortages in volunteer support, the non-profit has had to adapt quickly to overcome resource constraints.
“We have learned to be flexible, to think outside the box, and to rely on the support of our amazing community. It has not been easy, but the results speak for themselves.”
She explained that volunteers play an essential role in the success of Connect to Feed, and the organisation continues to rely on their enthusiasm and commitment.
“Volunteers assist with everything from food collection and meal preparation to distribution, and they are integral to the organisation’s ability to reach so many people in need.”
Srivastava highlighted that the community’s support has been incredible.

“Volunteers bring so much energy and heart to every event. They help us go beyond simply providing food. They help us build relationships, and that’s where the magic happens.”
Looking ahead, Connect to Feed has ambitious plans to further extend its reach.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to spreading happiness, we will continue to focus on identifying individuals and communities that need support the most.”
Srivastava is also eager to welcome new team members who share the same passion for community service.
“There’s always more work to be done, but we are excited about what the future holds.”
As the organisation celebrates its fifth anniversary, it reflects on the many milestones it has achieved while also looking forward to future growth.
“This anniversary is not just about looking back at past successes but about reaffirming the commitment to making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.”
Srivastava concluded by stating that “This anniversary is a reminder of how far we have come, but more importantly, it’s a reminder of the incredible people who have helped us along the way. Together, we are making a real difference.”
