Nando’s Sandton City reopens

Nando's Sandton City has become more than just a restaurant – it is a cultural phenomenon that has left an indelible mark on the culinary world.

Nando’s is a global restaurant chain renowned for its flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken and for carving a niche for itself in the world of casual dining.

Originating in South Africa in 1987, Nando’s has captivated taste buds with its fresh ingredients, unique blend of sauces and commitment to quality.

On March 6, the Sandton City Nando’s restaurant reopened its doors after a complete refurbishment.

According to Mohamed Rajah, the franchisee of Nando’s Sandton City, this restaurant is a flagship Nando’s in South Africa.”We call our restaurants ‘casa’s’; this is one of the flagship Nando’s casa’s in South Africa. We temporarily closed shop for six weeks to do a complete revamp. Every piece of equipment, furniture and artwork is new. This is world-class, in terms of the opening and we are excited to have our guests come in and enjoy this beautiful space with us.”

Rajah added that the biggest innovation is that they have a counter in the front that has a full coffee offering manned by a barista; we also have soft serve ice cream, which is served in individual portions as well as bottomless option for those who are eager to indulge.”We make Designer Drinks from that station, and at a later stage we will also offer our guests a variety of breakfast offerings such as natas and muffins to cater for the professionals that pass our store daily.”

He highlighted that they will now open up earlier, at 08:00, and attend the counter in front.

Rajah said that in addition to attractive setting, there are private areas in the back where guests can come in and have their meetings and divide the contents. This back section of the casa can accommodate approximately 60 people.

“The restaurant seats about 120 for those who want to dine in. We also do deliveries including Uber Eats and Mr D, call & collect and takeout.
