Bramley Police Station offers safety advice to locals

The local police station in Bramley urges residents to practise safety due to an increase in theft.

Crime affects all South African communities.

Bramley Police Station spokesperson Captain Molefe Mogodi highlighted that the station has been experiencing a rise in the theft of wheels from motor vehicles and tools getting stolen out of the back of bakkies with canopies.

He gives safety tips to the community that may help prevent or make it difficult for criminals to steal from the vehicle:

1) Ensure that your vehicle doors are properly locked. If your vehicle has an alarm, please activate it, and use locknuts on the wheels.

2) If you hear noise from outside, do not go out to check what is happening, even if the dog barks. The best way is to alert the police sector vehicle or security officers.

Please save the following numbers in case of an emergency:

1) Sector 1. 071 675 6118

2) Sector 2. 071 675 6121

3) Sector 3. 071 675 6122

4) Sector 4. 071 675 6124
