Hyde Park High School learner awarded Tres Honores white blazer

This is Hyde Park High’s most prestigious award.

Hyde Park High School Grade 12 learner, Tatiana Lyall was recently awarded her Tres Honores white blazer in a formal assembly by the school’s principal Dr Melanie Kallie. This is Hyde Park High’s most prestigious award, conferred on any pupil who earns three separate full-colours awards. Kallie achieved her full colours in First Aid, Water Polo and Hockey and was awarded her white blazer cum laude (with distinction).

The Grade 12 is passionate about first aid and is a fully qualified level 3 First Aider. On her way home from school, in school uniform, Lyall recently took charge at a road accident scene. She commented that this is a very difficult thing to do considering her age and that keeping a calm head and displaying confidence in helping anyone injured was vital. Avril Wright, the school’s communication secretary added that in this instance the paramedics were most thankful for her assistance and praised Lyall for giving of her time.
