Glamorous evening honours Lions Cricket’s best and brightest
The night featured dazzling fashion, live music, and heartfelt recognition of Lion Cricket’s outstanding players, coaches, and staff.
The Lion Cricket Awards brought together nearly 500 guests from across the cricketing community and beyond in celebration of talent, dedication, and the relentless spirit of the pride.
The attendees gathered at the Indaba Hotel on the evening of May 22 to acknowledge the outstanding achievements, and promising future of Lions Cricket, in an evening brimming with excitement, music, and elegance.
Guests were welcomed with an energetic live orchestra as they walked the red carpet, immersed in a lively atmosphere teeming with activity.

The event featured a variety of attractions, including the popular McCafe, engaging performances by the renowned pop group Mafikizolo, and a vibrant display of fashion with guests donning dazzling evening gowns and stylish attire.
The evening not only celebrated individual and team accomplishments; it also emphasised the core values that drive the pride forward: resilience, sportsmanship, and a collective drive for excellence.
The awards recognised players, coaches, and support staff from all levels, showcasing the depth of talent nurtured within the organisation.
