Sandton Sun’s Chef’s Table wows media and foodies

Sandton Sun’s daytime Chef’s Table preview was a sensory delight.

Sandton Sun & Towers welcomed media and food lovers to a special preview of its Chef’s Table experience, a multi-course culinary journey designed to impress on July 23.

Guests were greeted in their San Deck area with Mediterranean nibbles, including artisanal charcuterie, grissini, and marinated olives, setting the tone for what was to follow.

Inside, chefs and their teams presented an elegant tasting menu, each course paired with premium South African wines.

Standout dishes included lobster and ricotta ravioli in a butter sherry sauce, confit duck leg with black cherries, and Cape Wagyu sirloin with fondant potato and bourbon sauce.

A coconut sorbet martini cleansed the palate before the Karoo lamb biryani, and the finale was a vanilla bean crème caramel with salted caramel ice cream.
