Melrose Arch lit up with festive sparkle on November 16, as the world-famous Drakensberg Boys Choir delivered a breathtaking performance that left a spellbound audience cheering for more.
After the resounding success of its sold-out 2023 performance, the Drakensberg Boys Choir made a triumphant return to Melrose Arch for the 2025 edition of Carols by Candlelight.
The iconic event, held at The Venue on November 16, officially ushered in Melrose Arch’s Destination Christmas season, an annual celebration known for dazzling decor, vibrant entertainment, and a profound spirit of giving.

This year’s Carols by Candlelight drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, all eager to experience the choir’s unmistakable harmonies and festive charm.
Illuminated by the soft glow of hundreds of candles, guests were treated to an enchanting evening where music and meaning intertwined beautifully.
The world-renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir once again delivered an electrifying performance, blending beloved Christmas classics with their signature choral mastery and dynamic stage presence.

At the heart of Carols by Candlelight lies a deeper purpose: giving back. Each candle lit during the event symbolised more than 65 meals that SA Harvest will distribute to families facing hunger, turning every flicker of light into a beacon of hope.
Proceeds from the evening directly support SA Harvest’s mission, as well as the Drakensberg Boys Choir, ensuring that the joy of the night extends far beyond Melrose Arch.
