SEBOKENG. – The Sebokeng police are investigating a case of a missing person after Tshepo Mphuthi (27) from Golden Gardens, Sebokeng, went missing recently.

It is alleged that in the afternoon of August 05, Tshepo’s mother arrived home to only find her other son in the house.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, said that upon asking about Tshepo’s whereabouts, the son said he does not know.

It is not the first time Tshepo disappears as he normally goes out on weekends.

“On August 10, she asked around from neighbours, family and friends, but no one knew about Tshepo’s whereabouts. It is not the first time Tshepo disappears as he normally goes out on weekends and comes back during the week,” Mokhachane said.

She added that it is unknown what Tshepo was wearing during his disappearance and he does not have a cellphone.

There is no time frame to report a person as missing.

Mokhachane further added that Sebokeng Station Commander, Brigadier Thembekile Kubone, would like to remind the public that there is no time frame to report a person as missing. Therefore, the public is urged to assist with any information that can reunite Tshepo with his family.
