A man was critically injured after the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree on Onyx Street in Carletonville late last night.
Upon arrival at the scene, ER24 paramedics found the passenger trapped in the vehicle.
The man, believed to be 26 years of age, sustained multiple injuries and was in a critical condition.
Fire and Rescue extricated the man with the use of jaws of life.
The man was treated and transported to the Leratong Hospital for further medical care.
The driver was uninjured.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
