Man dies in car crash, Vanderbijlpark

Paramedics assessed the man and found that the man had sustained serious injuries to his chest and showed no signs of life.

A 31-year-old man was killed this morning after his car crashed into a tree on Pasteur Drive in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10h20 and found the vehicle smashed up against a tree. The driver was found lying slumped over the steering wheel.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that the man had sustained serious injuries to his chest and showed no signs of life.

Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his multiple injuries. Nothing more could be done for the man and he was declared dead on scene.

Witnesses stated that they heard a loud revving from the vehicle just before the collision.

The cause of this incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
