Man dies after 15 metre fall

MEYERTON. -  A man believed to be in his late 20s  died yesterday morning after falling down 15 metres at a company in the industrial area of Meyerton.

ER24 Spokesperson russel Meiring says, “ER24 paramedics immediately responded to the scene. Upon arrival, paramedics found the man lying on the ground in a large building. The man was surrounded by a number of his colleagues.”

Meiring adds that paramedics immediately assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious head injury and showed no signs of life.

“Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene. The cause of this incident is not  yet known but authorities will be conducting an investigation into the matter.”
