This terrible accident took place in Limpopo yesterday (December 10)  at about 10h00 on the N1 between Modimolle and Mookgophong at Boekenhout. The driver of the VW Polo allegedly tried to swerve out for a lost prop shaft from a Scania bus lying in the roadway. The Polo then crashed into a Mercedes Benz head on. Six people, including the drivers were declared dead on the scene. One passenger sustained critical injuries. Sedibeng Ster and Vaalweekblad’s sincere condolences with the deceased’s next of kin.

With the Festive season coming closer, many motorists are preparing to go on holiday or travel far to see the family. We urge all our Vaal Triangle residents who will be on the roads, to please drive safely!
