House robberies still rife in Three Rivers

Funda further adds that the theft of gate motors is going up drastically in Sonlandpark.

VEREENIGING- Vereenigigng Police Spokesperson captain Fikile Funda reports that house robberies are still very rife in Three Rivers and warns house owners and helpers against opening doors for strangers.

“House owners and helpers should not respond to people they do not know at their door steps.” Funda further adds that the theft of gate motors is going up drastically in Sonlandpark.
“Targeted streets are Tafelberg, Waterberg and Drakensberg Streets. The community is warned to take precautionary measures in making sure that their gate motors are not easily stolen.”
Funda concludes, adding that police managed to arrest a total of 39 people for various crimes last week.
