Taxi accident in Vanderbijlpark

Sixteen people were left injured this morning (12 July 2017) when a taxi rolled into the centre medium on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark

Russel Meiring, spoekesperson for ER24, reports:
Sixteen people were left injured this morning (12 July 2017) when a taxi rolled into the centre medium on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at approximately 07h10, and found the taxi lying upright at the bottom of a ditch in the centre medium. Several occupants had already climbed out of the taxi and were walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that fifteen people had sustained minor to moderate injuries while one woman had sustained more serious injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations
