75 people arrested in Vereeniging

Vereeniging police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports that police arrested a total of 75 people for various crimes in Vereeniging.

VEREENIGING. -Vereeniging police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports that police arrested a total of 75 people for various crimes in Vereeniging.

“Three people were arrested for shoplifting,  16  for possession of drugs,  eight  for drunken driving,  three  for assault with grievous bodily harm , one for  possession of suspected stolen property, one for theft of cable , one for rape, one for common  robbery, one for theft of motor vehicle, two for business breaking, three for theft, fourteen for being undocumented, fourteen for prostitution, one for interfering with police official duties. 9 for being undocumented,

“Five fines of trading without a licence were issued and 3 fines for Road traffic Act were issued. The arrested persons will make an  appearance in the Vereeniging magistrate court soon.” Funda further reports about the rise of gate motors in various areas, urging the community to secure their motors.

“People coming to do business in the cbd must not display their jewelery or leave their valuables unattended in the car where every person passing could see them. People must not use their IT equipment in public or drive with their car windows open.” Funda concludes.
